Privacy Your details
Privacy policy.
What we do with the details you give us when you ask for a price, book or get in touch, who else handles them, and what you can ask us to do.

Who we are
Diamond Car Care is a mobile car detailing business based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We decide how your details are used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law. For anything in this policy, email diamondcarcareofficial@gmail.com or call 07383 817693.
What we collect
- When you ask for a price, book or send us a message: your name, phone number, email address, where the car is, its make and model, the package and date you choose, any photos you send and anything you write to us.
- When you call, WhatsApp or email us: your number or email address and what you tell us. If we take a booking that way, we add the details to our booking system ourselves.
- When you send a form or use the booking calendar: our server briefly records your connection’s IP address (and, for forms, the phone number you gave) to stop spam and repeated submissions.
- Only if you allow cookies: Google Analytics records how you use the site (pages viewed, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your rough location; Google doesn’t store UK visitors’ IP addresses) and whether you sent an enquiry, booked, or tapped to call or WhatsApp us. With advertising cookies on, Google Ads also learns which of our adverts brought you here. Choose on the cookie settings page.
- If you press play on one of our TikTok videos: the video loads from TikTok, which receives your IP address and device details and may set cookies, under TikTok’s privacy policy. Nothing loads from TikTok until you press play.
You don’t have to give us anything, but we can’t price or book the job without your name, a way to reach you and your car’s details. The forms show which details are required.
Why we use it
- To reply, price the job, book it, do the work and keep in touch about it. The lawful basis is contract: you’ve asked us for a price or a booking, and we need your details to give you it.
- To keep a record of the work and what it cost. The lawful basis is legal obligation: businesses have to keep records, for example for tax.
- To protect the site and our booking system from spam and misuse. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in a booking system that works and isn’t flooded with fake requests. The records involved are deleted after a day or so.
- To measure visits and our adverts. The lawful basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time on the cookie settings page.
We don’t sell your details, and we won’t send you marketing unless you’ve asked for it.
Who else handles it
Our team sees your details in our booking system, which only they can sign in to. Photos you send are kept in private storage that only they can open. A few companies run the services we use, and handle your data only on our behalf:
- Supabase stores our booking system’s data and your photos, on servers in the EU.
- Vercel hosts this website. Its London servers run the forms and the booking system.
- Google provides Analytics and Ads, only if you allow cookies.
These are international companies, so your data may be accessed from outside the UK, for example the United States, to run their services. When that happens it’s covered by safeguards UK law recognises, such as the UK-US data bridge or approved contract clauses.
If you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, your messages also pass through WhatsApp (Meta) or Gmail (Google), and videos you play on our site come from TikTok. Each of those works under its own privacy policy, not on our behalf.
How long we keep it
- Bookings stay in our business records for as long as the law requires us to keep those records.
- Enquiries that don’t become a booking are kept only while they’re useful for following up, and we’ll delete one sooner if you ask.
- Photos are kept with the enquiry or booking they came with, and are deleted when it is.
- Spam-prevention records are deleted after a day or so.
- Cookies last as long as the cookie settings page says for each one.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete it
- limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- give you the details you gave us in a format you can reuse
Where you’ve given consent, as with cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. Some requests depend on why we hold the data: for example, we may have to keep booking records the law requires. Asking is free, and we’ll reply within one month. Email diamondcarcareofficial@gmail.com.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
